I have been searching for a pair of plain black flats seeing my last pair were a looking sad (too worn out).
You would think finding black flats would be simple, but I have a list of wants that define the PERFECT pair which makes things complicated.
After a few weeks of looking around online and in stores I ended up finding a pair of flats from ShoeMint…well sorta. They do not match the whole “plain” look I was going for, but I had a hard time saying no to the cuteness of them.
These shoes have been comfy to wear so far. I hate when some shoes cause blisters because they are too stiff or poorly made.
The flats were originally around $79.98USD, but with a promo they had I got them for $34USD. The only thing I worry about is accidentally kicking something and having one of the bows fall off because of it — being REALLY careful about that.
As much as I love my new shoes, I still would really like a “plain” pair. I have had my eyes on flats at Madewell, but waiting to see if a good deal comes along!
I really like the flats you’ve got! They are definitely super cute. I do agree that Madewell’s ones look a lot plainer and I actually like how they look a lot.

Thanks!!! I really would like the Madewell ones, but I cannot justify the cost for something so simplistic (though it is more the quality that makes the price). Still waiting on a promo of some sort to come along.
They are beautiful ! !
I’m searching for simple black flats too
) Maybe in spring since it’s too cold for them now ~
I like your new design a lot ! ! I wish I could make such a great design too *v*

Thanks Xin!! Hope you are able to find flats faster than I was able to when the time comes for them. Also, If you ever need help with a new blog design, let me know. I would not mind helping as a volunteer sort of effort.
Oooh those are so cute. I’ve been trying to search for a nice pair of plain black flats for interviews on a college budget. So far, it’s impossible.

You might want to check out Urban Outfitters Thao. I bought a pair from them for $19…BUT they are not that comfy.
