My father recently gave me a lot of tangerines from his ranch. *SUKI* I decided to make candied tangerine peels with them and juice the flesh of the fruit with carrots for morning meals (sometimes even dinners). *EAT*

The entire process took a LONG time, but I did not want to waste them knowing I can make use of them. *SWEAT* I had to properly skin away the pith and boil the peels three times. I plan to use these peels for adding to dishes that I make such as orange chicken, so they will be a tasty and special addition. [COOK]

On the subject of not wasting, did I mention I kind of like collecting jars? I am not a pack rat with collecting them, just have a few special ones that have real working purposes. *HAHA* Actually…the ones in these photos are from actual grocery shopping buys. The bear jar was for an organic jam which I am now using to store some of the candied tangerine peel and the milk jar is for storing sugar. I prefer storing foods in glass containers due to plastic actually releasing estrogen like chemicals. Not good!!! *URGH* The softer the plastic the more harmful. Glass is the best way to go for food storing.
