I am home today with Widget. Yesterday was a long and emotional day for me.
We woke up to Widget throwing up around 12:00am. Like all dogs, Widget sometimes just throws up a little (sorry for this detail). I helped calm her and just went back to bed. It got worse later in the morning when I saw throw up and diarrhea with blood in both everywhere on the kitchen floor (again, sorry for the details). I was in tears. I quickly tossed on some clothes and we rushed her to the ER.
Widget stayed in ER the entire day and we did not pick her up until 5:00am this morning. We woke up at 4:00am and left eager to pick her up and bring her home. The ER had given her a lot of fluids via IV and medication to stop both of her symptoms. Widget is thankfully now home and has not displayed anymore bad symptoms. I pureed fresh chicken breast and rice to slowly feed her. She has been sleeping most of the day (really worn out), but is very lively and almost completely back to her Widgety self when she is awake. No real explanation for what has caused this.
Most likely it is something she ate (possibly during a walk when nibbling grass) as the fecal test came back negative. No blood work nor radiographs were taken due to no longer displaying symptoms, but if things return, she will go back for them. I hope she continues to be well. I am so tired as well from stress and not being able to sleep without her! Not the best way to enjoy my birthday today, but happy she is home.
On an ENTIRELY different note, I wanted to share one of my Christmas gifts! :] I took these photos of my new Coach Boots on Saturday before heading out for my Birthday dinner.

These boots were a gift from my mother (they are chestnut brown but look a bit black in the photos). There is actually a story behind these boots. I originally wanted Uggs, but I think they are…well…ugly (no offense to ANYONE who owns them).
I just wanted them for the toasty warm factor, not due to trends. Uggs are lacking a certain feminine quality with their chunky look which I really hated. *SWEAT* My mother ended up telling me to go out and buy the ones I wanted and she would repay me — she was worried she would pick the wrong size. One of the days before Christmas, George, my brother, my brother’s girlfriend and I went to the mall. I ended up visiting Macy’s and my brother’s girlfriend spotted these coach boots while I was looking for Uggs. I instantly fell in love with them! They were special in their own way with the buckles, sleek feminine style, cozy/warm inside and lack of clunkiness…in other words, I was SOLD. Certainly happy to have found these boots and though my mother is not a huge fan of them, I love them.
Thanks mom!

About a month ago, I went to Macy’s to shop a bit. I usually skip the jewelry section because I figure the best deals are online, that and I never use to be much of a jewelry fan. I noticed a Juicy Couture counter and decided to check it out for the fun of it. That is when I spotted it, the Heirloom Garden Heart Locket Necklace!
Juicy Couture Heirloom Garden Heart Locket Necklace
I was tempted to buy it, but decided $88.00USD was not really an ideal price that I was willing to spend especially after paying less than that for two beautiful Betsey Johnson necklaces that were even more expensive originally priced, but on sale. Now I see it is $44.00USD on sale at Nordstrom online!
As much as I would like the necklace, I think I will wait as the holidays are coming up and “some” people might need some IDEAS. Just saying! Oh, and Black Friday deals too! Maybe it will be even less by then.
