It has been foggy in the area of San Francisco where we live. This Sunday we decided to SKIP the fog and head out to a sunnier place. *SUNNY* We ended up leaving the city to hang out at Mount Tamalpais.

Mount Tamalpais

We could see a lot of fog from Mount Tamalpais starting to cover more of SF and into Marin. They look like fluffy clouds that are close to the ground. *CLOUDY*

Widget cooling down

We hiked for a little bit and when we finally returned to the FJ, Widget immediately went under it to cool down. She is lucky the SUV is so high off the ground! *HAHA*

This last photo is at the very top of Mount Tamalpais. You can see San Francisco from the height. It was a beautiful sight to see. *HEARTY* The views we saw really made the weekend wonderful.

Today George, Widget and I got up early to head out for a hiking trip. *HEARTY* We visited Willis Evans Canyon. In the past, there were plans to destroy this beautiful area for development. :O Gary Giacomini, a board supervisor in Marin County, fought for the preservation of this region along with the community. The area was saved for everyone to enjoy fortunately. [PEACE]

As you can see, it has been a beautiful day today, perfect for the hike! :3 The redwoods were absolutely STUNNING! We were new to the trail and did not realize how much the trees canopy the ground. It had rained a few days ago so it was pretty muddy. *DROP* We cut our hike a bit short because I was slipping and sliding everywhere! We also had to climb some rocky areas and I was afraid I might slip — that would NOT had been good. o.o; Widget was also pretty wet and muddy by the time we got back to the FJ Cruiser. We still had a great time and really enjoyed the fresh air and SUNSHINE! *SUNNY* I absolutely love living in San Francisco. [<3] We have so many wonderful destinations around us other than our lovely city.
