Yesterday evening, we headed to North Beach to have dinner with two of George’s friends from work in the Italian District. *EAT*

This area tends to be VERY lively and busy. On the weekends, finding parking gets crazy! *車* I think it is so cute that every post along the street has the flag of Italy wrapped around it. So much pride for the country. *愛*

I ordered Carpaccio Di Salmone for myself which had thinly sliced raw salmon fillet, olive oil, lemon juice and sweet peppers. When I ordered it, the woman was surprised I just wanted an appetizer for a meal. Little does she know that I do not eat a lot and I really do not like Italian food that much. *URGH* Not to say I will never eat it, I just do not go out of my way to visit Italian restaurants (though I do make light Italian dishes at home such as Minestrone Soup).

George ended up ordering Spiedino Di Agnello which was skewered lamb marinated in ginger, rosemary, garlic with roasted potatoes and mixed salad. The guys also added on the Salsiccia Pizza that had mushrooms, Italian sausage, mozzarella and tomato sauce. Both were very good and I appreciate that the pizza was really balanced. Not too much cheese or breading on the pizza. [<3]

At the end of our meal, we ordered two Tira Misu for our little group to share. *COOKIE* Tira Misu is probably one of my favorite Italian based desserts!

All over all, it was a great experience! The restaurant was very small, but charming and cozy. It is run by two sisters and everyone there is really sweet. Definitely a wonderful evening with good company. *夜*

Hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine’s Day today! Mine started off with a great day at my new job followed by an awesome dinner at Rumble Fish! <3

Dinner was so tasty as always at Rumble Fish! From left to right to bottom: Sashimi Moriawase (halibut, salmon, tuna & yellow tail), Kaki Fry (fried oyster), Big Eye Tuna Roll and a Dragon Roll.

George and I have been to Rumble Fish many times. It is one of our favorite places to eat sushi for dinner. *HEARTY* Today we got off work in good timing! By the time we arrived at Rumble Fish we not only found parking, but were seated upon walking in. *愛* After 15 minutes or so, cars were rushing about trying to find a spot to park and the restaurant started filling up. We did not make reservations as we were a bit on the fence the day before regarding what to eat. SF is such a big city that it is ALWAYS possible to find a place to eat without having to wait too long. [THUMBS]

When we got home George had a surprise for me! *CHEERY* He had bought me a new set of stacking mugs, this time from Pier1. <3 I had bought a set which I mentioned in a past post, but they actually fell and four out of the six broke! I was so sad and George knew I was bummed. This was very thoughtful and to be honest, they are much more beautiful than the other set I had. THANK YOU GEORGE!!! *WAKU*

I am not sure if anyone noticed, but today my blog was down for over 5 HOURS! *URGH* I was pretty frustrated. >.< It all started yesterday evening when I noticed my blog was up and down on accessibility. I called my hosting service and the individual I spoke with thought it MIGHT be related to my internet provider. This morning my blog was completely down! *AH* I called them again to learn there was some type of issue they were trying to resolve. After several hours passed with the blog being down, I inquired about moving to a different server. They offered me the option to switch servers to something more stable so that should be happening tomorrow. Hopefully that too will not cause much downtime. <.< Everything seems to be OK now…for now at least.
