Today I had the opportunity of a LIFETIME, I witnessed the final flight of the Endeavour Space Shuttle right above my head! *CELEBRATE*

I work close to the NASA Ames Research Center and they were letting the public walk onto the Moffett Airfield to watch the flyover (the research center is on Moffett Field which only military and NASA employees can access). Me and my co-worker’s son ending up walking over to record the flight. :)

Parting is such sweet sorrow. :( The Endeavour’s first flight was in 1992. After this final flight, the Endeavour will head back to Los Angeles to be displayed in the California Science Center. We plan to visit the Endeavour in December so we can visit it up close.

Earlier in the morning, our favorite nearby cafe was giving out buttons of the Endeavour that NASA gave to them. *コーヒー* I actually got the last one (there was a TON of people waiting around for the Endeavour’s visit at the cafe)!

Lockheed P-3

My co-worker’s son had never seen a plane up close, so we visited the Lockheed P-3 Orion before heading back to the office.
